tryout requirements

Before a student can tryout for the basketball team the following items must be accomplished:

  1. Physical Form- This year, all student-athletes who have not had a physical in the past year must have a physical. In essence, this means all of this year’s 9th and 11th graders most likely need a physical. 10th and 12th graders probably do not need a physical as they most likely had one last year. You must also have the doctor complete the information on a district form. If you haven’t already done do so, you may receive a form from Coach Bendt or Mrs. Cook in the athletic director’s office.

  2. Parent Permission- All boys trying out for basketball must have their families fill-out a Parent Permission Form. As with the physical form, these may be picked-up from a basketball coach or Mrs. Cook.

  3. Hand-in Forms- Take each of the completed enclosed forms to Mrs. Cook in the athletic director’s office. She will give you a gold receipt that must be given to Coach Bendt prior to tryouts. Mrs. Cook will be accepting forms beginning Monday, November 2nd.

  4. Participation Fee?- As with all sports, it costs $190 to play basketball. However, this fee is not due until   after tryouts and teams have been selected.  There is payment and scholarship opportunities for those who qualify.
